Bro. Marc served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division from 1985 until 1994. He served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Marc resigned from the US Army to follow God's calling into the ministry. While attending MABTS he held several ministry positions. One of these positions was Associate Pastor of The Church at Midtown. This church was sponsored by Leawood Baptist Church and in 1997 he was ordained into the ministry by Leawood.

After graduation from seminary in 1997, Marc and Annie were led by God into the mission field and have served as career missionaries with the International Mission Board since that time. Marc first served in South Central Poland as a Church Planter and the Strategy Coordinator for that area of Europe. He later served as Strategy Associate for five countries including Poland, and most recently, as the Strategy Associate for the South European Field. This position held responsibility for various people groups and missionaries serving in 11 countries, including Greece, which is where they lived.Annie also served our country in the United States Army. She has a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Austin Peay State University. She has truly been a helpmate to Marc in ministry. She has held positions in several areas of service for the International Mission Board, along with participating in personal ministry to various people groups in the areas in which they have served. Annie and Marc home school their three children.

Lynn came to Leawood in May, 2004. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and his Master of Arts in Christian Education from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to serving the Lord in full time ministry, Lynn was an active lay person serving as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and recreation associate, among other areas of service. He and his wife Heather, both natives of Missouri, were married in June of 1985, and have two sons, Matthew and Andrew. When time allows, he enjoys playing golf with his boys or taking walks with Heather. His favorite time of day is the early morning when he takes time to be alone with the Lord and watch the sun rise.

Jerry Beaty has been on staff at Leawood Baptist Church since May 2006. He is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor of Music Degree and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Church Music Degree. Jerry and his wife, Linda, have been married for 38 years and have two daughters, Melodye and Michelle. They have six grandchildren. At the age of 15, Jerry surrendered to the Music Ministry and has served churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Tennessee. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys fishing and golfing.

I have been a Leawood member (with the exception of the two years that I served as a student minister in Mississippi) since 1991. I grew up in church knowing Bible stories and all the answers to the Sunday School questions. However, it was when I was in the youth group at Leawood as a thirteen year old boy that I finally understood how to be saved. Five years later, after arriving home from my last summer camp as a youth, God called me into the ministry in the Leawood chapel.
